RE: Dometic Auto Temp frost

I noticed the same problem when I was in Sugarloaf. The heat was working my fridge over big time! I found leaving my A/C on during the day to keep the inside temp bearable, helped the fridge from working to hard.
Also thought about getting a little fan to help blow out the hot air in the back of the fridge area....I guess were the cooling fins are. I hear that helps aswell in very hot weather....

RE: Bunk Ladder

Years ago I needed a bunk ladder for a Shasta trailer that we had. Got on the hiway to go to the lumber yard, and there was one on the side of the road. Must have fallen out of a moving truck. What a stroke of luck
Steve
Hey! I was wondering were I put that! Any chance you can drop it off!:B

RE: Jeep GC 5.7L Hemi should be fine, right?

If you have kids it's almost certain that you'll want a bigger trailer than you start off with. I'd suggest getting something with separate sleeping for the kids. Breaking down the table and couch to make beds gets real old, real fast.
So so so true! been ther done that...:)

Extended Counter Part II

Well, I wasn't really happy with yesterdays start. But then it came to me last night!
This first pic is what I was working around...wanted to mount a piano hinge underneath..but no luck, as you can see the Formica hangs down past half-inch wood.

RE: Extended counter

ps-It looks like if you sit on the couch without the extension you could get a bad scape/cut on your right leg from the wing-nut hanging out there.
The wingnut is out of touch...unless you like to rub-up against the side of the counter!....all that counts is the DW is happy!

RE: Extended counter

Yes I used a jigsaw to cut that corner. Just need to loosen the two screws to remove the whole extension, fold it up and store it away.
Sorry about the size of the pic's...still trying to figure them out.

Extended counter

Just finished up this mod. Tried to pull it off with as little damage as possible. Three screws that would be visible if the counter was removed. Zero screws for guests sleeping on the couch. Turned out better than I thought, sturdy and fairly cheap. Bought scrap Formica board from Home Depot for $.50!...brackets $12.00.

RE: Things Manufactures do that make you go HUH?

I don't have as much of a problem with the builders as I do the designers.
Seriously, what were they thinking in some of these TTs when they put the entertainment center directly next to the couch at a 90 degree angle? I realize that was probably the only place left to put it but if it were me I'd have scrapped that design and come up with a better one.
Too funny....I always said the same thing for years, looking at layouts for the perfect entertainment center, which should be directly across from you. Not neck-bending achs for enjoyment.
But I finally found mine....

RE: Clothes Rack Mod???

I'm missing something here. What is the rack for? Do you remove it later and use it to dry your clothes inside?
You got it...but not inside...outside, for beach towels, swimming trunks etc

Clothes Rack Mod???

Not sure if this is a new idea, or even worthy of a post....but I just had to post something!:B
I used eyelet screws I think ther called? Then opened the end up to catch some of the wire from the clothes rack(used for drying clothes outside).
